Green Enough! Eat Better, Live Cleaner, Be Happier (All Without driving Your Family Crazy!)

In GREEN ENOUGH (Rodale Books; on-sale March 20, 2018), Mamavation blogger Leah Segedie offers an irreverent, entertaining take on making smart, healthy choices for you and your family and detoxifying your home, diet, and lifestyle.

After becoming a parent, Leah Segedie decided to investigate what, exactly, was in the food and household products she was buying. It turns out that many of them were filled with dangerous chemicals and toxins that have been shown to negatively impact human health. From that moment on, she embarked on a path of non-toxic living and became determined to help others. As a marketing expert and creator of the hit blog Mamavation, Segedie researched thousands of products and health claims to evaluate their safety.

Leah, the thought-leader behind, has written a book. It's about time!! If you've ever spoken to her in person, watched her online in an interview, read the articles she and her community research and write about, you'll know that she doesn't hold back. She's a tenacious force and isn't scared to call out wrong-doing when she sees it. And boy, does she pull back the curtains and expose companies for all the harm many are doing to their consumers. The book is laced with her delightful humor and her passion for transparency.

Her book is a great resource for those new to living a cleaner, green-friendly lifestyle or if you are just curious. Leah shares that you don't need a fancy degree to take on big corporations. So, how to do you, little ol' you, hold companies accountable, spark change within the industry? Simple...with your wallet. We've all heard the saying or seen the meme online about voting with your dollars. It's time more than ever to do just that. As a human race, we are creatures of habit and often run on auto-pilot, not stopping to think about our everyday decisions.

For example, many women don't think twice about the chemicals loaded up in menstrual products. I know I did not know that the cotton was bleached for many big retail brands selling tampons and pads. Oh, and the companies do not have to disclose the ingredients used to ensure "no-leaks", floral-smelling products for the most absorbent area of a woman's body. Seriously, No regulations? Leah shares well-researched evidence by third-party experts in the field, that are not on the payrolls of big pharma corporation to help the everyday person decipher ingredients included and those not listed but ARE included.
